time and time management in school
I have seen (before retirement) school as much a timing issue . This means two things: One time I had with my work in a given context lane of appointments, which dates laid down my actions, without that they were responding more to the logic of my actions (teaching) - they were simply given from the outside (hiking days, exam dates, score dates ...). Second, I often lacked the time to investigate things as thoroughly as they deserve; to repeat themes that would have been necessary; time for students, which would have taken my time, time for talking with colleagues to have without having to make in the bustle of the break between copying and food (in addition to the toilet), only a few observations can.
There is now a book by Otto Hansmann : From time management in the classroom, Münster 2009th
The book is very smart and well grounded in theory, if not overloaded - but maybe it will help but to clarify the view, so that one obtains the time it takes for the reading, again?
I confess I do not know it - you can but an impression in the table of contents, preface and give to other pages: http://www.e-cademic.de/data/ebooks/extracts/9783830921387.pdf
